trends to try

Trends go in an out so fast, that sometimes it is hard to keep up. Trying something new is always a healthy way to step out of the normal you. These are a few current trends and some tips on how to pull them off!

Colored Pants

I am loving this fall/winter trend. It is such an easy style to try, and it makes a very bold statement. Start off by finding the perfect pair of denim or corduroys, in an off color that isn’t too bright. The key when trying new trend is to have the confidence to rock it (even if you’re faking it! Pair your colored pants with a simple top and a scarf in neutral tones so it isn’t too overwhelming.

Color Blocking

Color blocking was all over the runway this year! It uses bold and bright colors in unity. To try this trend, pull out your solid colored pieces from your closet. The best options that create a color-blocked outfit are solid tops paired with a skirt, or colored pants. Try a bold royal blue skirt with a mustard yellow top for a fun twist.

The Cape

The cape is not just for superheroes anymore! It is now a great option for outerwear. A cape jacket is great for an outdoor event that you still want to look fabulous for, but is too cold out to wear your favorite dress. The cape jacket is not only a fun new look, but is also flattering because it isn’t form fitting and usually has a tie to draw in the waist.

Army Green

The military trend from a few seasons ago is still seen in stores, but that rustic, green color has stayed around, and I am happy it did! Army green is a great color that goes with everything, and is a great way to mix up your neutrals. My favorite two army green options are nail polish, or a light cargo jacket paired with something more feminine, like lace!

What are some of the latest trends you are trying out?
